D&R Automotive Repair

On a trip to the Smokies my Prius got about two days into driving in the mountains and decided it had had enough. It was flashing the engine overheating light and we knew we needed to bring it in. Several shops in the area weren’t able to see us until the next week and we were tent camping in bear country and had all of our supplies in the car so we needed it back quickly. D&R was able to work us in and identified the issue as a water pump that wasn’t working and had a leak and needed to be replaced. They told us it might be two days depending on part arrival/repairs, but they were able to have it ready by the next day. They had great, prompt communication and explained the issue and cost well. They were incredibly nice with each visit and were so accommodating. Can’t thank you guys enough for getting us back on the road to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Would definitely recommend them if you find yourself with car troubles!

My rear brakes decided to wear out while vacationing in the Smokies. The young lady at D&R Auto that I dealt with was courteous, professional and friendly. She was able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. When I brought the vehicle in, they looked over the brakes and gave me an estimate for the work. The estimate was comparable to what I’ve paid for brakes previously and the work was completed for the estimated amount. We were able to continue our vacation with very little interruption. I have now road tested the new brakes up and down through the mountains and on our 400 mile return trip home with no issues. I want to thank D&R for turning an untimely problem into a good experience.

I used D & R because they were listed as the repair shop under my warranty. It was so convenient that I didn’t have to be there when they towed my vehicle there. They stayed in contact with me the entire time & I liked that they would text you updated instead of calling. I work weird hours & can’t always answer the phone. They worked with me on a couple of things & you just don’t find that nowadays. Highly recommend!
